I studied dance in Singapore till 1992 whereupon I went to the Nationale Ballettacademie in Amsterdam. With a great stroke of luck, I landed my first professional contract on the christmas eve of 1992 (seems like a figment from some fairy tales, doesn't it?). Anyway there it was, and as they say in the movies: from then on, the rest is history... ta ta!Well, I will spare you the boredom of listing the choreographers/companies/blablabla i work with... for the next page (sorry, you don't think you can get away with it, can you?). Suffice it to say that i am still performing, and intend to continue for a couple more years, till the body becomes unbearably unsightly on stage or till the spirit finds better sport for its amusement. Whichever comes first, that is. Since September 2004, I am resident dancer and assistant for Compagnia Zappala Danza (CZD) in Italia. In addition to that, I have also been indulging in making my own research and short choreographic works. And when not doing either, I give technique classes and workshops to companies and academies in Italy and Singapore. All this juggling is made possible because the company CZD and people in Singapore and Italy have been extremely supportive, understanding and accommodating. They have indeed been instrumental to my growth and development. Here's a 'THANK YOU' to these generous and kind people.
